June 2015 Meeting Announcement

Managers can you hear me know? Hard-Hitting Lessons on how to get real results
Frank Swiatek

  • When: Thursday June 11 2015 from 8:30 am to 11:30 am (8:30 am to 9:00 am – networking; 9:00 am to 11:30 am – meeting)
  • Where: Canisius Center for Professional Development 300 Corporate Parkway, Suite 130, Amherst, NY 14226

The presenter, Frank Swiatek, was an outside performance consultant for Verizon Wireless. He consulted, coached, conducted seminars and spoke to Verizon Wireless management and staff, throughout the United States, for over 15 years.

He was on the inside, at a time when VZW went from $192M in sales to a staggering $62B, under the leadership of President and CEO, Denny Strigl. To get a sense of what that kind of growth looks like, take your 2014 revenue and multiply it 325X!

While many people can say that VZW is a Fortune 14 company and what they did does not apply to them, nothing could be further from the truth. Much of what they did can be applied to any small business.

Frank will discuss the Verizon mindsets, skills and behaviors that can leapfrog the competition in sales and profits.

Based on his experience at Verizon, Frank co-authored a book with Denny Strigl, entitled, “Managers, can you hear me now?” – Hard-Hitting Lessons on How to get Real Results!

The book was published by McGraw-Hill in NYC, and is available in over 40 countries. Publishing rights have been purchased by over 5 countries.

During this presentation, which is based on a real-life experience, you will discover:

  • How CEO Denny Strigl kept everyone focused on 4 fundamentals
  • The major reasons managers struggled
  • The foundation for a results culture
  • The role of accountability in achieving exponential results
  • The importance of keeping things simple
  • The role of training in getting results
  • The importance of building “bench strength” in the organization

Frank Swiatek is a coach, consultant, speaker and seminar leader who has conducted over 3500 sessions for organizations throughout the United States and Canada. He has worked for over 25 Fortune 500 companies and numerous small businesses.

He has received the CSP (Certified Speaking Professional) designation from the National Speaker’s Association.

He was a senior seminar leader for Learning Dynamics (Boston, MA) and the Waterloo Management Education Centre (Waterloo, Ontario) for over 12 years.

He is the Executive-in-Residence at the Canisius Center for Professional Development, where he currently serves as Interim Director.
